Youth summer camp programs offered at Crealde School of Art in Winter Park

Registration is now open for students of all ages

WINTER PARK, Fla. – In the middle of busy Winter Park sits a creative village, welcoming art students of all ages and abilities.

Crealde School of Art was founded in 1975 and now employs 53 working artists who teach everything from painting and drawing to ceramics, photography and sculpture. And while the majority of Crealde’s students are adults, the school offers a robust young artist program, which includes a summer camp. A highlight of the summer camp program is an immersive art camp.

“Well summer goes on for nine weeks at Crealde,” CEO and executive director Peter Schreyer said. “They’re here for 32 contact hours a week making art nonstop. They do four (to) five different mediums in one day from painting to pottery to darkroom photography and do this every day for two weeks. Can you imagine the amount of work they create?”

Camps are offered for students as young as 4 years old with pricing starting at $210. Camps for prekindergarten-aged children run for half days and focus on projects that develop fine motor skills.

Older students, ages 12-16, can take immersion classes like sculpture and wheel throwing with one-week camps starting at around $260.

Registration is now open for summer camp. For more information or to sign up your child, click here.
