Silver Alert issued for missing Lake County man with dementia, deputies say

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – Lake County deputies are searching for a 69-year-old man who was last seen leaving his home in Minneola Tuesday evening.

Rodger Stambaugh, 69, left his home at 825 Elm Forrest Drive around 7:15 p.m. and hasn’t been seen or heard from since, deputies said in a release.

According to the release, Stambaugh was recently diagnosed with dementia, and he should be driving his black 2020 Kia Soul hatchback with a temporary license tag reading “DGD5348.”

Deputies said Stambaugh is 6 feet, 1 inch tall, weighs about 170 pounds and has green eyes. He is also balding with gray hair, a gray beard and mustache, the release says.

Anyone with information on Stambaugh’s whereabouts is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 352-343-2101.
