LONGWOOD, Fla. – Enjoy the strawberry season in Seminole County at the Longwood Strawberry Fest, a family-friendly event filled with fun, activities music and sweet treats at Reiter Park.
The festival on Saturday teases mouthwatering strawberry treats, from fresh-picked berries to decadent desserts, according to its website.

All ages are welcome, with activities including face painting, games and a kid’s zone for $5 per child.
A highlight of the event will be the Strawberry Eating Contest, a challenge to eat as many strawberry desserts as possible in 10 minutes.
The rules are: Only participants 18 or older are allowed, with one member per family. No teams are allowed, and 10 contestants will be chosen by lottery to eat strawberry shortcakes. Hands cannot be used and need to remain behind your back at all times.
Registration begins at 2:30 p.m. and the contest starts at 3 p.m. The contest is a time endurance test.
The festival will also feature live music, with the Sandy Back Porch Band from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m., and the Kyle Ingram Trio from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
The event runs from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
