ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – An Orlando woman now faces second-degree murder charges after a road rage shooting along Colonial Drive in December left one man dead, according to a news release from the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida.
On Tuesday, an Orange County Grand Jury formally indicted Tina Allgeo, 47, in the fatal shooting of 42-year-old Mihail Tsvetkov on Dec. 2.

Police initially said the shooting involved “driver hostility between two vehicles, resulting in the death of one driver.”
According to investigators, police were able to detain Allgeo before setting up a crime scene. Tsvetkov was later declared dead after being taken to a hospital for treatment.
Detectives said they’d received 911 calls about a man on the roadway who had “been shot in the face,” and the shooter — later defined as Allgeo — was still on the scene.
Police said they learned from witnesses that Tsvetkov had begun attacking Allgeo after the collision, which prompted her to fire on him.
“(A witness) explained that Mrs. Allgeo talked of an incident that occurred before the shooting,” the report reads. “(The witness) said she did not witness any of it, but learned from Mrs. Allgeo that (Tsvetkov) was tailgating her further back.”
Investigators later got ahold of red-light camera footage near the shooting scene, which showed Tsvetkov opening the door to Allgeo’s vehicle before he was shot, the report continues.
Over a week later, detectives said they received a statement from Allgeo via her attorney, in which Allgeo claimed that she confronted Tsvetkov farther down the road about tailgating her. In response, the statement claims, Tsvetkov had bumped into Allgeo’s vehicle, causing her to follow after him while calling 911.
According to Allgeo, she accidentally struck Tsvetkov’s vehicle in turn while trying to get his tag number, which resulted in him getting out of his car and attacking her, deputies explained.
When Allgeo was arrested for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, her attorney stated that the charge stems from Allgeo following Tsvetkov and crashing into his vehicle, but not charged in his death.
The release did not state what new information may have led to the new charges of second-degree murder.
“This is a case of great public importance that needed to be reviewed by the Grand Jury to determine whether the evidence supported an indictment,” State Attorney Monique Worrell said. “Gun violence stemming from senseless disputes will not be tolerated, and our office will hold those who commit these acts accountable.”
According to the release, Allgeo was booked into the Orange County jail on Wednesday on no bond.
