ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in the shooting death of a 17-year-old boy last month in Orange County, according to the sheriff’s office

Tommy Lagree Jr. faces charges of first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a minor, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement Wednesday.

Lagree is accused in the death of 17-year-old Jahriel Huertas, who was shot Sept. 26 in the 4900 block of Keith Place and died the next day at a hospital, the sheriff’s office said.

Detectives secured a warrant for Lagree’s arrest, which occurred Wednesday morning, the statement reads. The 15-year-old has since been taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center.
