Viasat-3 Flight 2 to take off in Brevard
BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket blasted off from Florida’s Space Coast for a nighttime satellite mission on Thursday.
The Viasat-3 Flight 2 mission — for Viasat, a global technology company — took off at 10:04 p.m. Thursday, according to ULA.
The launch was originally set for Wednesday, Nov. 5, but it was pushed a day ahead and then scrubbed to this week.
The launch is expected to more than double the bandwidth capacity of Viasat’s entire existing satellite fleet, according to ULA.
