GENEVA, Fla. – Three adults and two children were taken to the hospital after a house fire broke out in Geneva, the Seminole County Fire Department said.
According to officials, the fire started in the kitchen of the home on East Osceola Road. The family is expected to be OK, but was taken to the hospital out of an abundance of caution.
Firefighters said a large number of animals also lived at the home, including dogs, cats, a snake, as well as turkeys and chickens that lived outside.
Officials said some animals have been accounted for.
The Red Cross has been called in to assist the family.
