Pedestrian killed in Winter Park crash, troopers say

Crash happened at N Semoran Boulevard and Aloma Avenue

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A pedestrian was struck and killed in a crash on Tuesday evening in Winter Park, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash involved a vehicle and a pedestrian at the intersection of North Semoran Boulevard and Aloma Avenue.

The crash report shows that the pedestrian — a man whose identity is still unknown — was crossing west-to-east along Semoran Boulevard, walking into the path of an oncoming sedan.

After the sedan struck him, the man was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to the FHP.

Troopers said the roadway was blocked following the crash.
