Another cold front set to sweep through Central Florida. Here’s what to know

Cooler air hits Friday morning

ORLANDO, Fla. – A weak ridge of high pressure system will gradually slide south and east of the area Thursday. What’s coming next? A cold front. It’ll push down the state tonight into early Friday morning.

Before the front moves in, Thursday temperatures will be feeling a lot like spring with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. Along the coast, look for temperatures to hover in the mid-70s to 80 degrees. Not bad, right?

Highs Thursday

Now, don’t expect a deluge. Showers might brush the coastline but overall, rain chances are pretty low. By Thursday night, the temperatures will dip into the 50s across much of the region. Winds will shift to light westerly or northwesterly, especially after the cold front moves through.

Friday starts with some cooler air behind the cold front. High pressure will start to build into the area, keeping things nice and dry for the early part of the weekend. You can expect highs in the low 70s for most of the region, with some areas along the coast dipping into the upper 60s.

Highs Friday

Another reinforcing shot of dry air will arrive Saturday night into Sunday, keeping temperatures near normal in the mid 70s during the say and lows in the upper 40s to low 50s.

Saturday Morning Lows

Looking ahead into early next week, temperatures will continue their upward trend. We’ll see highs in the upper 70s to low 80s across most of the region by midweek, with overnight lows in the mid to upper 50s and low 60s.

The next weather shift comes late Wednesday along the approach of another front. This could bring a slight increase in rain chances, but we’ll have to wait and see how things play out.
