A weak cold front brings cooler temperatures to Central Florida to start the week
ORLANDO, Fla. – Get ready for a refresh, Central Florida!
A weak cold front is moving through the region, delivering a noticeable change in the air as the workweek begins. If you’re heading out early Monday, expect wake-up temperatures in the comfortable 50s and low 60s in most areas, with locations like DeLand and Palm Coast starting close to 58 and 61 degrees, while Ocala dips to 55.
The afternoon will stay below average for early November, with forecast highs reaching around 76 degrees in Orlando and topping out in the low to mid-70s elsewhere, including 72 in Ocala and 73 in Palm Coast.
Breezy conditions are expected throughout Monday, especially near the coast where gusts could approach 25 mph. Winds are likely to remain gusty into Tuesday.
However, the cooler weather won’t last long. A warming trend is expected as the week goes on, putting highs back in the 80s across much of the area by Wednesday and through the upcoming weekend.
Spotty showers expected Monday morning, mostly dry workweek ahead
With the cold front’s arrival, some isolated light showers are possible early Monday—mainly in areas like Lake, Orange, Osceola, and Polk counties. However, don’t expect much measurable rainfall. According to the latest Pinpoint Weather forecast, the rest of the week is shaping up to be mostly dry, with just another small chance of isolated showers by Friday.
For most, Monday’s quick round of sprinkles will be the extent of any wet weather. Sunshine returns by the afternoon, setting the stage for a pleasant and mild day.
Tropics remain quiet as hurricane season winds down
Looking beyond this week, the tropics are showing no sign of trouble. The end of hurricane season is Nov. 30, and right now, the National Hurricane Center isn’t tracking any active systems. It’s expected that things will stay quiet in the Gulf and Atlantic for at least several more days.
For now, the focus stays local, with Central Florida enjoying a brief break from the heat before things start warming back up midweek.
