ORLANDO, Fla. – Get ready for a serious chill in Central Florida as temperatures are expected to take a dramatic dive when a strong arctic cold front sweeps through the region.
Feels-like temperatures are expected to land in the 20s and 30s across the Orlando area as the front moves in overnight and into Tuesday morning.
Wind speeds Tuesday morning are expected in the 10-15 mph range, amplifying the chilly effect across the area.

Freeze warning
The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for Marion County, while much of Central Florida falls under cold weather advisories.
Several spots, like Ocala and Gainesville, should expect to feel like 26 degrees Tuesday morning, while Orlando could see “feels-like” temps near 30.
If you wake up to frost, don’t be surprised.
Cold, dry air will continue to push down from the north, keeping temperatures much lower than normal for at least the next day.

Short-term forecast
Orlando is set to drop to 38 degrees Tuesday morning, which would match last winter’s coldest reading and comes close to the 36-degree low from January 2023.
“We likely reached our high for Monday during the overnight hours, so we’ll see temperatures falling throughout the day. And again by the time we get to around midnight, most of us will be in the 40s,” Broughton noted.
Things won’t stay frigid forever with highs expected to rebound to 70 degrees by Wednesday and climb further as the week goes on, eventually returning to seasonal norms by the weekend.
With clear skies and plenty of sunshine forecast once the front moves through, keep an eye on those plants and pets until the warmth returns.
