MELBOURNE, Fla. – If only you knew.
R&B legend Patti LaBelle is returning to Melbourne’s Maxwell C. King Center for the Performing Arts for the first time in 16 years.

The 79-year-old singer will be performing on Sunday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m., when audiences can hear her belt out the classic rhythm and blues renditions, pop standards and spiritual sonnets she’s known for.

“Each year I grow, and that’s a blessing from God,” LaBelle said in a statement. “I do what I can do. I do what I feel God has given me the energy to do, so I just go out there and I do it...it’s not about making money because I don’t need money, but I need to sing. With a voice or without, I’ve got to get on that stage.”
Tickets for the concert go on sale starting 10 a.m. Friday online and 12 p.m. Friday at the King Center ticket office or by phone at 321-242-2219.
