The first tropical weather outlook of the year is hot off the press from National Hurricane Center as a non-tropical area of low pressure attempts to build some tropical thunderstorm action in its vortex. Here's what you need to know; and this is not as rare as one would think.

A severe weather outbreak is unfolding and ongoing for the Deep South having initially started for the Central Plains and the Midwest on Friday. Now that threat continues east and a decent handful of these stronger, more organized storms could reach Central Florida.
