In a release this summer, company officials announced that Casey’s had acquired Fikes Wholesale and CEFCO Convenience Stores, which will allow Casey’s to bring 148 stores to Texas and 50 stores to the southern states of Alabama, Florida and Mississippi.
As the Des Moines Register points out, this plan would put the number of Casey’s stores in Texas at 170, making it the state with the seventh-most Casey’s gas stations in the country.

However, company documents also show 40 locations planned for the panhandle region of Alabama and Florida. The documents claim that at for each site, around 200 million people live within 100 miles.
Over 125 of the CEFCO stores are “scaled, quality locations” with kitchens that are equipped to produce Casey’s signature food offerings, though Casey’s is planning to implement its own kitchens into around 85% of the acquired stores, those documents reveal.
These latest acquisitions come following the purchase of dozens of Buc-ee’s, Circle K, and Pilot Flying J locations in recent years — part of the company’s larger strategic vision for the company’s expansion.
No additional information has been shared at this time, including the exact addresses for the new Florida locations and when they’re set to open.
Casey’s is an Iowa-based convenience store chain with over 2,600 locations across the U.S. It’s been made famous thanks to its signature hand-made pizza and for being one of the largest convenience store chains in the country.
