Florida state offices will be closed even longer for the holidays this year, DeSantis says

New days off will be adjacent to standard holidays

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – State offices will be closed even longer this year as the holidays approach, according to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

A release from his office shows that there will be three more days off to help celebrate Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day.

That’s alongside the standard days off, meaning that state offices will be closed during the following timeframes:

  • Nov. 26 - 28
  • Dec. 25 - 26
  • Jan. 1 - 2

“Our state employees have worked hard throughout the year,” DeSantis said. “I hope they enjoy additional time off with loved ones and friends this holiday season. The First Lady and I are thankful for their continued dedication to the people of Florida.”
