Motorcyclist killed, woman injured in Orange County crash Crash happened on Alafaya Trail and College Park Trail

ORLANDO, Fla. – A man was killed and a woman was injured in a crash involving a motorcycle in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened Thursday on Alafaya Trail and College Park Trail.

According to a crash report, the 46-year-old motorcyclist was traveling south on Alafaya Trail while a Kia Rio was traveling north. The Kia made a left turn into the path of the motorcyclist and the right side of the car hit the front of the motorcycle, FHP said.
The crash report said witnesses told troopers the motorcycle was speeding.
The man was pronounced dead on the scene. Troopers said the woman was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
