WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – A man was stabbed to death at a Publix in Polk County on Thursday, leading to a search for the suspects involved, according to police.
Winter Haven police said the fatal stabbing happened around 1:30 p.m. at the Publix in the Northgate Shopping Center.
Investigators said a group followed the victim inside the store and a fight broke out at a counter. One man stabbed the victim, who died at a hospital, police said.
Images of those involved in the stabbing incident were released by police, who asked the public for help identifying them.
Anyone with information on the people seen in the photos is urged to contact detectives at 863-837-0946 or 863-401-2256. A $5,000 reward is available for information leading to arrests.
