Silver Alert issued for missing Polk County man

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing, 65-year-old Polk County man who is considered endangered.

Keith Thomas was last seen leaving his home around 2 p.m. Thursday, March 21, in the area of the 800 block of Munn Avenue in Lakeland, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Thomas was described as 6 feet tall and 190 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, black basketball shorts with white trim and green and yellow sneakers, authorities said. He may be traveling in a white 2004 Mitsubishi Eclipse with a tan convertible top and Florida tag 11D-RWB.

Thomas is considered endangered due to the fact that he takes seizure medication and has shown early signs of dementia, the sheriff’s office said on social media.
