May is also home to the fun and force-sensitive “Star Wars Day,” celebrated by fans of Sith and Jedi alike every May 4 (May the 4th be with you, right?).

At OCLS, the Star Wars Galactic Games will be held Saturday, May 4, at downtown’s Orlando Public Library, as well as at the system’s West Oaks branch, recommended for families with young children of slightly differing age ranges per location. The Galactic Games will take place that Friday, a day ahead of May 4, at the Fairview Shores branch, according to the OCLS website. A larger-scale “May the 4th - Star Wars Celebration” takes place on Saturday, May 4, from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Melrose Center in the downtown library, featuring workshops, movie screenings, virtual reality gaming and more.
