ORLANDO, Fla. – It’s known for its lively atmosphere, Sunday brunch, and outdoor bar, but for the last year, Hammered Lamb has been faced with a difficult challenge.

Facing the threat of closure, the restaurant in Orlando’s Ivanhoe Village recently launched a fundraising page to ask for help and share its story, noting it’s taken a hit from construction happening on North Orange Avenue where the restaurant is located.

“The City of Orlando does not currently have anything in place to help the small businesses that exist in the neighborhoods where this is occurring. Trust us, we’ve asked. Over and over and over again,” the post states.

On Saturday, Hammered Lamb will seek the community’s help for a day-long celebration that it’s calling the “Save the Lamb” fundraiser, complete with live music, drink specials, and special guests.

In 2021, News 6 spoke to owner Jason Lambert about the way Hammered Lamb navigated the COVID-19 pandemic while also helping other small businesses. The restaurant was known for its strict stance on COVID-19 safety for customers and employees.
