ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Around three years after he went missing, Orange County deputies are still searching for clues into the disappearance of 25-year-old Bryan “Vladek” Hasel.

According to deputies, Hasel’s father last saw him on Nov. 5, 2021, at home in the area of Alafaya Trail and MacKay Boulevard.

In a release, Hasel’s family later stated that he had been seen on video and body-camera footage at Foxtail Coffee Co. along University Boulevard in Orlando on Nov. 6, 2021.

In addition, the sheriff’s office said Hasel (then 22 years old) was reportedly spotted just nine days later at The Place at Alafaya Apartments. Deputies said he hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

The family’s release says that before he disappeared, Hasel was known to spend hours at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church prayer garden reading his Bible.

“I do believe someone out there knows what happened to him,” Hasel’s sister and advocate, Bethany Hasel, said last year. “There’s so many people that probably have interacted with him that just don’t realize that he’s a missing person and the information that they hold could be key to his case. Just reaching them is going to be what it takes to really find him and ensure he is OK.”

In January earlier this year, Bethany Hasel distributed 300 flyers at the Orange County Convention Center in an attempt to drum up new leads on her brother’s disappearance.

At the time, Bethany Hasel said she believed her brother may no longer be in Central Florida, as he had friends in the Dallas area from his time in the U.S. Marine Corps. She described Bryan Hasel as an outgoing and friendly person who’s always eager to strike up conversations with strangers.

On Tuesday, the sheriff’s office issued a release again urging “anyone with even the smallest shred of information” on his whereabouts to come forward with possible leads.

“No tip is too small,” the release reads. “#PleaseShare, and help us #FindVladek.”

The sheriff’s office also announced that his family is set to hold a candlelight vigil to raise awareness of his disappearance on Nov. 16 at 6 p.m. on UCF’s campus.
