OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – Deputies in Osceola County say they’ve arrested a man they say held a man at gunpoint in Kissimmee motel while the suspect’s girlfriend repeatedly stabbed a woman, reportedly over a pizza delivery tip.
Hector Manuel Martinez-Figueroa, 28, was arrested Wednesday in connection with the Dec. 22 incident at the Riviera Motel on Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway.

According to the arrest report, Brianna Alvelo delivered a pizza to a family staying at the motel, but became upset about the tip she got when the victims didn’t have the right change and Alvelo couldn’t break a smaller bill.
Deputies say Alvelo returned to the motel room with Martinez-Figueroa. They say Martinez-Figueroa forced the male victim into the bathroom and held him at gunpoint while Alvelo attacked the female victim and stabbed her 14 times. They say the suspects also took $120 from the female victim’s wallet.
While at the hospital it was determined the victim had been several weeks pregnant and the fetus had died as a result of the stabbing.
Alvelo was arrested on Dec. 23. Investigators say Alvelo told them the male suspect’s name was “Manuel Santiago,” and he was involved in “things” she does not know about.
However, in jailhouse phone calls to her mother, deputies say Alvelo asked after a man named Hector every day.
With the help of surveillance videos, deputies tracked down Martinez-Figueroa to another motel on Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, and during an interview, he admitted to being Alvelo’s boyfriend and that they were together the night of the incident.
Martinez-Figeroa is facing charges of home invasion with a firearm, aggravated assault with a weapon, and kidnapping. He is also facing murder charges because of the baby’s death.
He’s being held in jail without bond.
