Man pointed gun at motorist in Clermont ‘road rage incident,’ police say

Incident happened near Shady Nook and Desoto Street

CLERMONT, Fla. – A man is accused of pointing a gun at another motorist on Sunday, according to the Clermont Police Department.

Police said the incident happened near Shady Nook and Desoto Street but did not say what time.

According to a news release, a victim reported being involved in a “road rage incident.” The victim told officers that after they came to a stop, the suspect pointed a gun at them.

Clermont police said they were able to locate the suspect, identified as Robert Bloebaum, who had a 9mm handgun in his possession.

Bloebaum was taken to the Lake County jail where he was being held on a $5,000 bond. He faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to the release.
