An officer recognized Woods from a previous stop on Oct. 18, when he was riding an e-bike on C.R. 25 A and cited for a tail light violation.
Detectives later discovered Woods had been arrested in Marion County while riding an e-bike stolen just hours earlier in Lady Lake.
During the jail interview, Woods admitted to the thefts and said his girlfriend sold the stolen e-bikes to support his drug addiction. Police are working to locate the woman and recover any remaining stolen property, police said.
