Man and woman shot, killed in Orange County; suspect arrested, accused of murder, deputies say

Sheriff’s office responds to Cedar Bend Circle

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A suspect has been arrested after a man and a woman were shot and killed on Thursday in Orange County, the sheriff’s office said.

Around 4:30 p.m., deputies responded to the 600 block of Cedar Bend Circle, at the Academy at Waterford Lakes Apartments.

Upon arrival, deputies found a man in his 30s and a woman in her 40s who had been shot, according to the sheriff’s office.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman was taken to a local hospital but later died from her injuries, deputies said. The victims have since been identified as Victor Alexander Alanda Perez, 38, and Sharon Bonilla Viera, 41.

A suspect, identified as 47-year-old Christian Vargas Pagan, was taken into custody. He was later arrested via warrant and is accused of first-degree murder, according to the sheriff’s office.
