Central Florida’s Scarlett Spears brings Glinda’s childhood to life

ORLANDO, Fla. – Just a year after part one of “Wicked” was released in theatres, part two of the musical saw even more success.

According to studio estimates, “Wicked: For Good” earned $150 million from North American theaters in its first days in theaters and $226 million globally.

Not only is this the biggest opening ever for a Broadway musical adaptation, but part 2 also brought some new faces, including Scarlett Spears.

The 8-year-old from Orlando played young Glinda in the film. During her scenes, she really shed some light on what Glinda’s childhood was like before she became “the Good Witch.”

She also served as a great reminder of where Glinda came from later on in the movie.

If Spears looks familiar, you may also recognize her from General Hospital, where she has played the daughter of mob boss, Sonny Corinthos, since 2022. She also played young Dora in “Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado” and she’s set to play Zoe in the upcoming film, “The Last Mrs. Parrish,” starring Jennifer Lopez, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.
