17-year-old killed in Orange County, deputies say

Incident reported in 2000 block of Rivertree Circle

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Deputies responded after a shooting was reported in an Orange County neighborhood on Wednesday evening, according to the sheriff’s office.

In a release, deputies said the incident was reported around 8 p.m. in the 2000 block of Rivertree Circle.

Upon arrival, deputies found a “young man with a gunshot wound,” who later died after being taken to a nearby hospital, investigators explained.

On Thursday, deputies identified the victim as 17-year-old Jackson Pharell Jones.

“Our detectives are on scene investigating this incident,” the release reads. “This is all the information we have at the time.”
