State Troopers: One dead in Melbourne crash

MELBOURNE, Fla. – One person is dead, and an investigation is underway after a crash in Melbourne last night.

State Troopers say the crash happened Friday night around 8:15 p.m.

Troopers say a 2019 Honda Insight was hit as it exited a parking lot on Wickham Road by a truck approaching the Capron Trail intersection.

Troopers say both cars ran off the road.

Troopers say a 42-year-old woman in the Honda Insight died at the hospital, and 2 people in the other car had non-life-threatening injuries.
