CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – SpaceX successfully launched the first two O3b mPOWER broadband internet satellites on a Falcon 9 rocket Friday evening.
The launch was set for 4:21 p.m. at Space Launch Complex 40, but a new launch time was eventually scheduled for 5:48 p.m.

SpaceX sent the two satellites into medium-Earth orbit for SES of Luxembourg.
This launch is the first of two for SpaceX, as the company plans another Falcon 9 launch from Kennedy Space Center on Saturday.
The second launch, set for 4:32 p.m., is part of a Starlink mission from Launch Complex 39A.
The launches were originally planned to be within minutes of each other, but the Starlink launch was moved to a day later.
