Candace Campos

Meteorologist

Candace Campos joined News 6 Pinpoint Weather Team in 2015 and became your morning meteorologist in 2023.

She comes to Central Florida from Eugene, Oregon, where she was the Chief Meteorologist for the CBS affiliate KVAL-TV. Before heading out West, Candace got her start at WSVN-7 in Miami, where she was a weather producer for over five years. Born and raised in South Florida, Candace couldn’t wait to get back to the Sunshine State. Her love and passion for meteorology came at a very young age.

As a child, her experience with Hurricane Andrew sparked her desire to become a meteorologist and continues to be the driving force behind her goal to inform, educate and empower her viewers on all aspects of weather.

She is a proud graduate of Florida International University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in meteorology, graduated magna cum laude and was inducted to the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa arts and science honor society. Candace has earned her NWA seal and is also a member of the American Meteorological Society, and the National Weather Association.

During her down time, she enjoys spending family time with her husband and two daughters. Along with her love of weather, she enjoys the outdoors, photography, scrapbooking and baking homemade goodies.

You can watch Candace every weekday morning on News 6 Mornings starting at 5 a.m., News 6 at 9 a.m., News 6 at Noon, and you can watch her podcast with anchor Lisa Bell, Florida Foodie, which streams on News 6+. You can also watch it on the News 6+ Takeover every Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
