James Sparvero

Reporter

James joined News 6 in March 2016 as the Brevard County Reporter. His arrival was the realization of a three year effort to return to the state where his career began.

James got his first TV jobs in south Florida in 2011. He worked as a production assistant with Sun Sports/FOX Sports Florida and as a sideline reporter/videographer/television analyst with Xfinity High School Sports. His favorite experiences included working with the Miami Heat, the Miami Marlins and the Florida Panthers.

James then moved to Panama City Beach where for a year he was the morning producer at WJHG, Newschannel 7. It was at the "World's Most Beautiful Beaches" where he was also given opportunities to report and anchor news and sports.

In search of the best opportunity to grow as an anchor and reporter, his career then took him north to Parkersburg, WV. James anchored weekend news and reported weekdays for the following year. He would then do the same for a year in Baton Rouge, LA - his most recent stop.

James is from Pittsburgh, PA and graduated from Penn State in 2009 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. He has a minor in Spanish.
