The nonprofit organization is an 89-acre, nonprofit resort in Kissimmee, that provides week-long, cost-free wish vacations to critically ill children and their families from around the world who want to visit Central Florida.

Many of these families have their wishes granted by visiting Walt Disney World during their stay at the village.

Last year, as the kickoff to the 50th anniversary celebration began, leaders announced they would be donating $3 million in grants to six Central Florida nonprofits. Those organizations include Give Kids the World, The Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida, Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, Heart of Florida United Way, Hope Partnership and ELEVATE Orlando.

“We’ve had an amazing relationship with Walt Disney World Resort for more than 35 years, and this donation on top of the recent $500,000 grant will help us to continue making dreams come true for our very special wish families who visit the Village,” said Pam Landwirth, President and CEO – Give Kids The World Village.
