MERRITT ISLAND, Fla. – Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is bringing the flavors of fall back to Earth with Taste of Space: Fall Bites!
Celebrating its fifth anniversary, the limited-time food festival runs Sept. 28 through Nov. 8 and is themed around Americana — a nod to the nation’s 250th birthday year.

At the Orbit Cafe in the main visitor complex, guests can try:
- Confit Turkey with Corncakes and Orange Cranberry Vinaigrette
- Apple Fritter for a warm, sweet finish
Over at the Moon Rock Cafe inside the Apollo/Saturn V Center, the menu goes bold with:
- Cassoulet-Style Pork Shank and Andouille, a hearty, flavor-packed entrée
- Jumbo Apple Streusel Muffin — anything but ordinary
Out-of-this-world VIP dining
On Oct. 3, guests 21 and older can step into an evening unlike anything else on the Space Coast. The night begins with champagne and passed hors d’oeuvres before guests move into Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex for an immersive, multi-course dinner.
Celebrity chefs Marc Murphy, Rocco DiSpirito, Aaron May and Jon Ashton will headline the evening, bringing each course to life through live cooking demonstrations and giving guests a behind-the-scenes look at the culinary artistry behind their dishes.
The VIP experience includes:
- A multi-course, chef-curated dinner
- Live culinary demonstrations
- Meet-and-greet opportunities with each celebrity chef
- Open bar throughout the evening
- Photo opportunities with the chefs
- An immersive setting inside Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex

Chef, astronaut ‘tell all’ panel
Ever wondered what a celebrity chef eats when no one’s watching? Or what meal an astronaut dreams about while floating in orbit?
Those questions will be brought up on Oct. 4 in an exclusive Chef/Astronaut Panel.
Chefs Murphy, DiSpirito and May will be joined by a panel of astronauts for a moderator-led conversation that promises to be candid, fun and surprisingly personal.
The event starts at 11 a.m. and is included with general admission. Following the panel, guests will have the opportunity to meet the chefs and take photos.
Taste of Space: Fall Bites! is included with admission to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.
