As we continue to warm moving into February, it appears latest trends suggest a classic "what goes up, must come down" type of event very soon with the next split of our polar vortex.

As of Groundhog Day, Phil did in fact predict another six weeks of winter regardless if the calendar states the season is over. But it looks like Florida may be entirely excluded from this based on the latest model trends.

The arctic blast has long since dissipated, and for now, none of our computer models or long-range projections suggest another large outbreak is coming. We could receive some "cooler" air, dipping us into the upper 60s as we move through the first two weeks of February but... is winter just about over for us Floridians?
