Deputies described that man as “cursing and screaming” and “verbally aggressive” and ultimately unwilling to cooperate with the investigation. ORLANDO, Fla. – A man was carjacked Sunday night in Orlando, police said. The theft happened around 8:30 a.m. in the 400 block of Orange Blossom Trail. According to Orlando police, the car owner left his keys inside his vehicle and when he returned, a gunman was in his car. The carjacker took off, but the car was stopped by police a short time later, officials said. Three people in the vehicle were detailed, according to police.

ORLANDO, Fla. A 49-year-old Orlando woman was struck and killed early Thursday while crossing a road in Orange County, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The fatal crash was reported at 6:05 a.m. at Sand Lake Road near Orange Blossom Trail. The FHP said a 50-year-old Orlando woman was driving a car west on Sand Lake when the pedestrian, who was crossing the road from the south to the north, traveled into the direct path of the vehicle. The pedestrian, who was not in a crosswalk or at an intersection, was hit and killed, troopers said. The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured, the FHP said.

Orlando Police said officers arrested shooting suspect Deon Sykes for the homicide at the 7-Eleven parking lot on the 5500 block of Orange Blossom Trail. Artevious Benton is accused of being an accomplice and was arrested on Wednesday, according to police. Investigators said he was arrested for his involvement in the shooting. Officers said they are still looking another suspect.

A man accused of shooting and killing the driver of another vehicle on Orange Blossom Trail in July was arrested Wednesday in Brevard County, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said Eric Schnetzer, 45, was found in his car suffering from a gunshot wound near South Orange Blossom Trail and Consulate Drive around 6:34 p.m. on July 28. Detectives said they later determined the victim was shot during a road rage incident by Nael Abraham, 25. Detectives said Abraham fired one shot from his car, striking Schnetzer in the head. Abraham was arrested Wednesday in Brevard County on a warrant for second-degree murder.

Detectives arrested a suspect Thursday in connection with the fatal shooting of a 54-year-old man who was gunned down on Orange Blossom Trail in May, according to the Orange County Sheriffs Office. Travis Lamont Fleury, 22, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder for the death of Donald Gandy. Gandy was found suffering from gunshot wounds around 10 p.m. on May 20 near Orange Blossom Trail and 37th Street, deputies said. Fleury was booked into the Orange County Jail Thursday afternoon, records show. News 6 has requested more details about the case including the arrest report.

The I-4 eastbound exit to South Street (Exit 82B), and eastbound entrance ramps from Kaley Avenue and Michigan Street have changed. Changes include:The eastbound I-4 exit ramp to South Street, currently combined with the eastbound I-4 exit to State Road 408, is shifting into its final alignment as soon as Saturday morning. The eastbound I-4 entrance ramp from Michigan Street will close as soon as Friday. ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – As the family of a 27-year-old woman killed in a shooting Sunday is asking for the killer to come forward, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office has announced a cash reward in hopes that someone knows something. On Monday, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office announced a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of the shooter. Lee’s family said they don’t believe she was the intended target. Lee’s stepfather said Orange County Sheriff John Mina called him directly about the case Monday. He said the sheriff said he’d be on the case and working to try and help the family get justice.
