The nationwide average price for a gallon of unleaded gas has reached record highs in 2022, according to GasBuddy.com.

Systemwide changes are coming soon to the Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority’s LYNX bus service.

ORLANDO, Fla. – LYNX announced its buses will be operating on a holiday schedule Thanksgiving Day. On Nov. 26, riders could expect reduced service. If a bus or NeighborLink service runs on a Sunday, it will offer the same schedule, LYNX said. However, ACCESS LYNX will be available to transport all customers with an advance reservation on Nov. 26. Administrative offices will also be closed throughout the holiday from Nov. 26 to Nov. 27 with plans to reopen Nov. 30.

If you need to hire a car or hail a cab during the pandemic, consider a few safety steps. Masks are mandatory for drivers and riders using Lyft and Uber. Lyft instituted a health safety program, requiring everyone to agree to ride only if symptom free, to keep vehicles clean, ride in the back seat, and open windows when possible. “But of course, the big answer to that is wear your mask.”Joe Allen directs the Healthy Buildings Program at Harvard University. Both Uber and Lyft suspended shared ride options in March, so you won’t be riding with any strangers in the back seat.

Several SunRail trains are delayed Monday morning due to police activity or mechanical issues, according to the commuter rail. Southbound train P303, P308 and P305 were delayed due to police activity near the tracks. P303 was stopped south of Ballard Street and South Ronald Reagfon Boulevard as of 7:30 a.m. Train P305 was stopped south of America Street. P302 was delayed about an hour due to mechanical issues, according to SunRail.
