Rain and storm chances arent zero, but a few scattered showers and storms will move through during the first half of the day. These look to develop on the earlier side of the day, leaving Saturday evening mainly dry. Other than a few stray showers Sunday, most of Central Florida will be dry. A few showers, rumble of thunder will be possible with a breeze off of the Atlantic, but it will be a pretty good beach weekend.

ORLANDO, Fla. As you may imagine with the recent heavy rain, all of Central Florida and most of the Sunshine State are officially no longer in a drought. All of Central Florida is no longer in a drought as highlighted by the drought monitor released every Thursday by the United States Department of Agriculture. Every climate site in Central Florida has seen above-normal rain through the first 10 days of the month. Orlando remains below normal for the year, but recent rain has busted the drought across Central Florida. The moderate drought category, which none of Central Florida was in last week, dropped to less than one percent statewide.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Cristobal strengthened back into a tropical storm Friday and will help bring rain, churned-up seas and rip currents to Central Florida into early next week as it treks on a projected path toward Lousiana. The U.S. National Hurricane Center said Cristobal had maximum sustained winds of 45 mph Friday and was moving north at 14 mph. Cristobal is forecast to be out in the central Gulf on Saturday and could be nearing the U.S. Gulf Coast by Sunday. ORLANDO, Fla. The wet season has begun and that has provided a lot of Central Florida with much-needed rain. The drought monitor takes into account rain that has fallen through this past Tuesday and therefore does not include the heavy rain of Thursday morning. Significant improvements have occurred to the drought situation across Central Florida over the past week. As of the latest drought monitor released by the United States Department of Agriculture Thursday, most of Central Florida has been removed from drought status. Melbourne is now the only official reporting site in Central Florida that has seen higher than normal rainfall.

Possible conditions at Launch:A tropical wave bringing the potential for heavy rain to Central Florida Monday and Tuesday should be on its way out by late Tuesday. The 45th Weather Squadron has downgraded booster recovery weather to moderate. Wave heights are expected to settle back down to the 1-4" range by Wednesday afternoon. ORLANDO, Fla. – Rain is moving into our northwestern zones as of Saturday night. Rain will continue to move toward the south and even the southeast toward the coast by early Sunday morning. On Sunday morning, most of the rain will be along the Brevard County coastline and clear out by mid-morning. Temperatures will rise to the upper 60s and low 70s with a cool northwest wind in place. As we head into the upcoming work week, temperatures will start off mild in the low 70s and be back near 80 by the Thanksgiving holiday.
