Trooper Steve discerns the improper from the inconsiderate

ORLANDO, Fla. – We talk about distracted driving all the time.

Allow me to show you what it looks like at 70 miles an hour.

Watch the grey SUV on the left. Right before the exit, driver hits the brakes and darts across the lanes. At least they used a signal, I guess. But come on, this is dangerous especially in a construction zone.

I am not surprised, but it’s unfortunate that these riders won’t learn anything until either they are arrested or injured.

This is on Osceola Parkway. This has been an issue down there even when I first started with the highway patrol.

No tag, no proper equipment and unregistered. Mess.

I’m not going to lie, I really appreciate the ingenuity here. Just because something might make you say “What The Honk” doesn’t make it illegal. They did what needed to be done to make sure they could still see.

Funny? Yes. Illegal? No.
