As a result, the front of the sedan struck the back of the truck, causing it to run off the roadway, collide with the guardrail and overturn, troopers said.

According to FHP, the 21-year-old Palm Bay man driving the septic truck and his passenger were ejected from the vehicle. They were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries, but are in stable condition, FHP said.

A third vehicle driven by a 20-year-old woman from St. Augustine then struck the crash debris while traveling south on that same road, troopers said.

The Titusville and St. Augustine drivers were not injured and stayed on the scene, according to the preliminary crash report.

The inside southbound lanes of the interstate were temporarily blocked, but are now open.

The crash remains under investigation.
