Crash in Polk County causes serious injuries, shuts down State Road 37, sheriff’s office says

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A crash that left at least one person with serious injuries Saturday morning on State Road 37 in Polk County prompted a road closure south of Mulberry, according to the sheriff’s office.

Traffic on SR-37 was blocked south of Highway 640, diverted at Maine Avenue and Jamison Road, deputies said on social media.

The road was back open again in both directions as of 2:15 p.m.
