Safety tips for drivers 🎃

  1. Stay alert for trick-or-treaters and other pedestrians. Halloween brings out all ages, from miniature vampires to towering werewolves. Keep your eyes peeled and expect to see folks in all shapes, sizes, and (possibly neon) colors!
  2. Slow down and scan the road. Think of it as a slow-motion thriller: the slower you drive, the easier it is to spot sudden movements. Slower speeds save lives.
  3. Watch for young trick-or-treaters in unexpected places. Kids are excited, and that can mean darting across the street like a bat out of… well, you know. Be ready for those surprise moves!
  4. If you see a drunken driver, contact law enforcement. No one wants a real nightmare on Halloween, so if someone’s out there driving under the influence, alert the pros to keep everyone safe.

Safety tips for pedestrians 👻

  1. Create a “buddy system” before festivities begin. You know what they say — there’s safety in numbers! Pair up, especially if you’re heading out after dark, so no one’s left wandering solo in the moonlight.
  2. Follow the rules of the road and obey signs and signals. Whether you’re dressed as a pirate or princess, respect those traffic lights and stop signs. (Yes, even ghouls have to play by the rules!)
  3. Cross streets at crosswalks or intersections, if possible. Peek both ways, not just for cars but for those spooky left and right turns. Make sure you’re seen by drivers — even the ones who are spellbound by Halloween spirit.

Keep these tips in mind and let’s make sure Halloween is all treats, no tricks! Happy haunting, and stay safe out there.
