St. CLOUD, Fla. – A minivan that had just been involved in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday evening in St. Cloud went on to punch a hole in a nearby building, according to police.

The crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. in the area of The Mark, described as a 55+ mobile home community, a St. Cloud Police Department news release states. The crash involved a gray Volkswagen and a red Ford minivan, the latter of which continued moving until it struck the office building at The Mark and became lodged inside of it, according to the release.

St. Cloud police and firefighters freed the minivan’s driver, who was unable to open the door of the wedged-in vehicle, the release states.

Both drivers were provided with medical care at the scene before being hospitalized for further treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Photos of the scene shared to News 6 by Jahimael Hance show the minivan’s liftgate sticking out of the office building.
