TITUSVILLE, Fla. – A 40-year-old man was arrested on allegations of hitting and seriously injuring a juvenile in Titusville and then fleeing the area, officials said Thursday.
The hit-and-run crash happened at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of North Singleton Avenue and Wilderness Lane.

According to police, Joseph Domingo Santiago, of Titusville, was driving a 2018 Nissan Altima when he struck the victim, who was riding a Coleman mini motorbike. Santiago did not stop and fled the scene, officials said.

The victim was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.
Police said they were able to locate the suspected vehicle and then identify Santiago as the driver.
Santiago was located at his home and taken into custody. He was being held without bond.
Santiago was arrested on charges of:
- Leaving the scene of a crash with serious bodily injuries
- Tampering with evidence
- Driving with a suspended license with knowledge
- Violation of probation
- Resisting an officer without violence
