The FHP said the man was struck by a tractor-trailer driven by a 36-year-old Palatka man and was thrown across the center grass median and into the northbound lanes, where he was run over by an SUV.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to an FHP crash report.

Both drivers remained at the scene and were not injured, troopers said.
