Protect your pets: Free microchip event in Osceola County

Trooper Steve on Patrol hits the road

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – Today, I’m excited to welcome Osceola County Commissioner Peggy Choudhry to join me for a live interview as we discuss an incredible opportunity for pet owners in the community. If you’ve ever worried about losing your furry friend, this is an event you won’t want to miss!

Commissioner Choudhry is hosting a FREE microchip event on Saturday, March 22, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 2925 International Drive, Kissimmee (drive-up location at the former Publix).

This initiative is a game-changer for pet safety, ensuring that lost pets have a much higher chance of being reunited with their families.

  • Free microchipping for pets—no cost to Osceola County residents.
  • First come, first served, while supplies last.
  • Drive-up service for convenience.
  • If an animal cannot be safely controlled, owners may be required to bring them to Animal Services at a later date.

Microchipping is one of the simplest and most effective ways to keep your pet safe. Unlike a collar or tag, which can fall off, a microchip provides a permanent form of identification, giving pet owners peace of mind.

Check out the video player at the top of this story for my interview with Commissioner Choudhry, where we’ll discuss why microchipping is so important, the impact of this event on the community, and how you can take advantage of this incredible service.
