According to an FHP crash report, a 2012 Hyundai Sonata carrying four occupants was traveling eastbound on I-4 in the inside lane. For unknown reasons, the driver lost control of the Hyundai and it ran off the roadway to the right and onto the right shoulder, overturning several times, the report states.

The rear left passenger of the sedan — identified as a 20-year-old Orlando woman — was ejected during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

The sedan’s three other occupants — a 24-year-old man driving with a 20-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man riding as passengers, all of Orlando — suffered serious injuries in the crash and were taken to the hospital, according to the report.

None of the sedan’s occupants were wearing seat belts when the crash occurred, the report states.

FHP is still investigating.
