54-year-old motorcyclist killed in Orange County crash, troopers say

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A 54-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Orange County on Saturday evening, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash happened at Oak Ridge Road and Winegard Road around 7:37 p.m.

According to a crash report, a Honda CR-V was traveling east on Oak Ridge Road, east of Winegard Road.

At the same time, a Taotao motorcycle was also traveling east on Oak Ridge Road, east of Winegard Road in front of the CR-V.

According to the report, the CR-V failed to observe the motorcycle and as a result, the front of the Honda collided into the back of the Taotao.

The impact caused the motorcyclist to be thrown from the bike. The driver, identified as a 54-year-old Orlando man, was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the CR-V, identified as a 69-year-old Orlando woman, was not injured and remained at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
