LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – A 30-year-old Bushnell woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash late Saturday in Lake County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 9:58 p.m. on State Road 50, east of Sloans Ridge Road, troopers said.
According to an FHP crash report, the woman was traveling westbound on S.R. 50, driving a 2002 GMC Sierra, when she failed to negotiate a left-hand curve and drove off the roadway in a northwesterly direction as a result.
The pickup truck overturned several times and the driver was ejected, the report states. Troopers believe she was not wearing a seat belt during the crash.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the report.
FHP is still investigating.
