Who yields to who? Trooper Steve on Patrol explains

ORLANDO, Fla. – It may be a rainy Monday across Central Florida, but the holiday spirit is still going strong, especially after helping light the Orlando Christmas tree this past Friday night. I’m still riding that wave of Christmas cheer, and our entire team had a blast kicking off the season with thousands of you.

But even with all that joy, we’ve still got traffic basics to talk about, because the roads don’t take a holiday break.

This morning, I jumped into my inbox searching for questions many of us might be dealing with on our commutes, especially with the rain falling and distractions creeping in. One email jumped right out at me. It read: “When a traffic light is green for a driver to turn left and the opposite direction of traffic also is green for them to make a right turn, who must yield to who?”

The second I read that, I knew today’s stream needed to cover it. It’s a simple question, but it’s one that confuses a lot of drivers and confusion is the last thing we need on wet holiday roads.

So today, we’re diving into that scenario, breaking down who yields, when, and why. It’s a rainy one out there, but a quick traffic safety chat might be just what we need to get through this Monday without any issues.

Join me live as we clear up the confusion and keep the roads moving safely this holiday season.
