OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – A fatal crash along State Road 60 shut down traffic along the highway on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said that the fatal crash happened at 2:37 p.m at Peavine Road in Kenansville and involved two semitrucks and a pickup truck.

According to an FHP crash report, a semitruck was traveling west on S.R. 60, west of Peavine Road.
In addition, a Peterbilt semitruck was behind a Ford F-150, and both were stopped for traffic ahead on the westbound lane travel lane of S.R. 60, west of Peavine Road.
Troopers said the first semitruck failed to stop for the vehicles ahead. As a result, the front of the vehicle collided with the back of the Peterbilt semitruck. That impact caused the front of the Peterbilt to crash into the back of the Ford pickup truck.
According to the report, the initial impact caused the first semitruck to become “fully engulfed in flames.” The unidentified driver of that truck died at the scene.
The driver of the Peterbilt semitruck, identified as a 48-year-old Eagle Lake man, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
The crash blocked the road in both directions along the highway, troopers added.
The crash remains under investigation.
